This song came to me again while listening for a first dance song for my upcoming wedding. I need the perfect song that represents how I feel about my future husband; a challenging task for a music lover like me.

I am independent. I always wanted to start my career before I settled down and I wasn’t looking for love. Well, when a man they call “Rooster” came along, there was no denying it; he was the one. I suddenly wanted to share my life with someone and grow with him. This song spoke to me saying “this give and take isn’t so bad”. Plus, I knew from the 2nd week of dating that I was going to marry him so the line “But I carry this feeling when you walked into my house that you won’t be walking out the door” is very accurate.

My name is Chelsea. I was born in 1993 and have felt a little out of place since.

I have been a fan of music for as long as I can remember. Not just a fan; a lover. I can obsess over a song, a band, an album for weeks at a time and learn everything there is to know about it. It all started when I was a baby and my dad would dance with me until I fell asleep to the Carpenters album “The Singles 1969-1973”, although I probably only made it to “Superstar” 4 songs in before conking out. Those songs strike up some of my first memories.
